Our Database at a Glance

Our database offers a searchable listing of local private scholarships for the Massachusetts area.

We have researched and included information on awards that meet three basic criteria:

  1. The scholarship provides funding specifically for use in at least one level of higher education (including non-degree, certificate, 2-year, 4-year, graduate and professional programs).
  2. The scholarship is a third-party private scholarship. This means that students are not automatically eligible for the award by completing the normal government and school financial aid applications (FAFSA, CSS Profile, Institutional Applications, etc.), but must apply specifically for the program separately and in addition to this process.
  3. The scholarship is primarily designed for Massachusetts students. This may be apparent by certain residency requirements, school location requirements, or simply that the sponsor is based in Massachusetts or New England and traditionally awards their scholarship to local students.

Please note that while we work hard to provide accurate and current scholarship information, this information is subject to change without notification. It is very important that you contact the scholarship administrator directly to ensure that you have the latest guidelines and application information.

There are currently 158 scholarships in our database. The number of available scholarships appears below, broken into several specific background and interest categories. The number of scholarships shows in parentheses after each category name. Click on an individual heading to view all scholarships in that category.
