Karen Jacobs Scholarship
Sponsor: American Occupational Therapy FoundationApplication deadline: 2-8-2010
Description: To be eligible for this award, students must be Massachusetts residents, and must be currently enrolled in an accredited occupational therapy educational program or an occupational therapy assistant program in New England at the professional or associate degree level. The applicant must also be a member of the Massachusetts Association for Occupational Therapy (MAOT). Applicants must also demonstrate a need for financial assistance and have a sustained record of outstanding scholastic achievement.
Application procedure: There is a single, unified application, available from the American Occupational Therapy Foundation's website, below, for over 50 different scholarship programs. Students need to complete and submit only one application, to be considered for the Karen Jacobs Scholarship, as well as the other AOTF awards they may be eligible to receive. Along with the requested transcript copy, students must also submit two personal references and a Curriculum Director's statement as part of their application package. Information for next year's application will be made available online in August.
